The Long Beach Center Theater is a gorgeous facility and I would recommend it highly. You won't find many acts performed here, but if you get the chance to see a performance here don't miss it. Formed in a half circle, the minimal stage sits front and center with the first row of seats at stage level and rising as you progress to the back of the theater. There is about an 850 seat limit, so the performance will be intimate to say the least. Lighting is minimal, so no fancy shows, but the sound is incredible. No food is served, but you can get drinks outside in the lobby. I've seen a couple of acts here and the venue made it all that much better. The theater is located in the civic center complex and is next to the Terrace Theater, which is the large venue. Parking is convenient as well. This won't be the place to see a hard rock act by any means, but a jazz, classical or blues performance will be made extra special. Long
