wow. so that was a first. what you ask? my first thanksgiving alone. sort of anyway ... tigger kept me company as well as she was able to, lol. funny thing was it bothered me more than i figured, but way, way less than it seemed to upset other people that i'd be alone. oh well. it's gone and over with and there's always next year. speaking of which ... hopefully next year will be THE year. the one that gets me back on track work and thinking-wise. i never thought i'd be approaching burnout, but i'm close. these four days off in solitude (if that's what i end up doing for the next two days, anyway) may be just what i need for a reset button. got lots of reading in, got some good wine behind me and ahead of me ... none yet tonight though. heh. but next year, god willing, i'll leave california and head up north to the weather, the trees, the music and the wine, not to forget or discount my other half, lol. at least there's still one bun in the oven right now ... it's about time for something here to rise and bake. as for everything else, it could be worse, and given that it's not, i'm thankful. been working on reconnecting with a few pals, etc., from days long gone which has been interesting and i'm starting to think about crap other than work and sleep. see ... the days off are paying off. but i just came here to post a little update, as i changed a couple of other things here today, most notably my kewl new front page ... ripped the image off, but hey, it still looks really kewl. anyway, hope you all had a happy turkey-slaughter day and i'll catch you hopefully sometime before christmas. peace snuff
