Vio-Lence

Opening for Halford, Vio-Lence was the second band of the night. While they were a welcome change from the first opening act, whose name I don't remember, the band didn't really make that much of an impression on me. Basic meat-and-potatoes metal here. Enough to bang your head to, but not enough for me to go spend some change on a CD or a ticket. They played loud, hard, fast, and sang in pretty much the same manner (if you can call it singing ... it's more like screaming I think). They would have been a great first act in a three-act show that night. They fit in well with the Halford and Testament, and also experienced the same problems getting the crowd up and going. It must suck playing to older folks!
