Nevermore

House of Blues, Anaheim

Nevermore played the third set out of five bands in one night. Playing after Hate Eternal  they were a welcome break from that crummy pair of Klingons. They played an average 30 minute set of some decent metal, but squished between the eternal badness of Hate Eternal and the far more interesting Arch Enemy they didn't really stand out that much. They've got a little bit of personality and some fairly good talent, and maybe if they weren't squished in the middle of an all night affair I might of noticed them more or paid more attention to them instead of my drink. I doubt I'd be all that interested in seeing them headline to be honest, but I wouldn't be disappointed to see them open for some other act I was more into. Their fans will like them sure enough, and they seemed to have enough of them there to make a decent circle in the pit. Check 'em out and stuff, I don't think you'll be disappointed, and if you're a fan definitely see them live.
