Lamb of God

House of Blues, Anaheim

As the second of two opening acts for Anthrax, Lamb of God delivered a great performance ... a superb performance if you only compare them to ETC who played before them. Sporting lots of hair and lots of loud guitars, the band played a decent 35 minute set of hard driving, standard meat and potatoes hard metal rock. They fit in nicely with the rest of the night, and to their credit, they actually got the crowd and the pit going for the first time that evening. The basics: two guitars, one bass, one singer and a drummer. Not much else you need to know. They'll probably never be popular enough to be headliners, but at a smaller venue they'd be worth the price of admission.
