Dropkick Murphys

Just more Irish punk rock, right? For the most part, that describes the Dropkick Murphys. I did like them a little better than Flogging Molly, mostly because they're a little more upbeat, punky and edgy. And they have a bagpipe, lol. So there's not much else to say about these guys really, they're punky, and they play with an Irish edge. The crowd consisted of a bunch of drunks having a generally good time, including one particularly well-endowed lass who was totally shitfaced and kept eyeing me all night as she made out with her dink of a boyfriend. You gotta wonder. In any event, these guys played hard, played well, and totally surprised me in terms of my reaction to them. I liked them, I really liked them. I wouldn't want to go and see them every night, but every once in a while when you need a good dose of Irish punk, check these guys out. If you like the music you won't be disappointed. And don't forget to bring the Jameson.
