The Dragons

House of Blues, Anaheim

The Dragons were the second opening band for X. They fit in, although they seemed a little more on the straight and narrow heading towards rockabilly path than X. Nevertheless, they played well, even if the crowd wasn't into them at all. They have a pretty polished look and a good sound, but there's nothing spectacular or stand-out about them. They don't suck, but they're not fantastic either. They're a good opening band, but I don't know how much further they'll go without some more interesting material or some other hook.
