House of Blues, Anaheim Opening for the Cramps the Deadbillys put on the standard deathbilly performance. Good old rockabilly for the doom and gloom death crowd. They put on a good 30 minute set to open the night and unfortunately didn't get much of a response from the audience. I don't think it was their fault thought, they played well and had a good stage presence and had even decorated the stage a bit to help with the visuals. Looking pretty much like they do in the picture above they played good and loud, fast and times slow at others, but it was all good. They're worth checking out if you like rockabilly, but if you're expecting something along the lines of Nekromantix you'll be disappointed. For what it's worth I liked these guys more than Nekroman and his band. You can find The Deadbillys' homepage here. |
