Lemon Drops

What can I say. I've learned to love these little suckers. Of course with drinks such as these, the bar and bartender make all the difference in the world. One of my bandmates makes a good one (when he's not mixing with salt instead of sugar). Others I've found are hit and miss. My favorite? Hands down the best lemon drop I've had was mixed at the bar for the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian Hotel in Vegas. It even comes with secret lemony sauce!

Lemon Drops (Snuff the Magick Rooster's Own Personal Recipe)
I finally figured out how to make the almost perfect lemon drop. For me anyway. At least one other person on this planet agrees they're pretty darn tasty too, so I am not just tooting my own horn. Enough with this already ... the recipe: 2 parts Level (made by Absolut) vodka; 2 parts Limoncello (buy a good brand); 3 parts sweet and sour; 1 teaspoon of sugar or simple syrup; 1 part fresh lemon juice; pour over ice in a shaker, shake and serve in a martini glass. I frost the lip of mine with fresh lemon and some lemon sugar powder you can get at Williams Sonoma. The vodka and limoncello make all the difference, believe me.

Southern Comfort

The Grand Old Drink of the South. Way too sweet, but it's strong (the 100 proof is better). And if you're gonna make a Mint Julep right, this is a must have, even if it ain't bourbon. Mix some mutilated mint leaves with sugar syrup for half an hour, pour into a glass with some Comfort and finely crushed ice. Mmmm Mmmmm. Comfort also works well with cola if you're in a hurry.

Claim Jumper Mai Tai

Don't know of a better one. I think they also sell their mix, but sucking up one or two with some popcorn prior to gnawing on some cow certainly can liven up one's spirits. Lots of fruit and stuff for the girly in you too!
